Now for the good news!!!

I am headed off this evening for a weekend of relaxing and revival!!!

I am house sitting for my friend Gigi while she goes to the Jazz Festival in New Orleans.  She has a "fabulous" (her fav word!!!) house with a beautiful pool and outside entertaining area complete with t.v. and fireplace....she has a collection of music (great Jazz and my era of stuff) that you can have playing in any room in the house or all through the house.  I am taking my camera and going to pretend it is a vacation....my daughter is joining me there for Saturday night...a girls night for sure....and to me (a single mom) this is like a vacation!!! I am staying in the "Paris Room"...each of Gigi's rooms has a name and the decor fits the name.  She even called to take my order for wine and cheeses!!! She is the hostess with the mostess and to stay at her home is a much needed get away for me!!! I bought a new book to sit out by the pool and read...she left me a stack of new magazines....and I will be kept company by her two Jack Russell terriers, Scooter and Bandit (who have their own room...all decorated in canine style!!!) So, watch for pics of this weekend getaway very soon!!! Have a great weekend and remember, it all turns out for good in the end!!! God really does have a plan!!! -and ThANKs for letting me vent about work....made it easier to deal with-Sandra

this must be why i haven't heard from you - too busy getting ready for your "trip" - hahaha.

I hope you had a great relaxing weekend. It sounds like you needed it after your kitchen disaster. Your kitchen disaster sounds similar to mine! Still waiting for shutters, furniture and the painter to come back and touch up. Then it will be ready for your magic touch!
