Ooooh La La! Back From Paris...

Well, actually....I am back from my stay in the Paris Room at my friend Gigi's house!!  She and her hubby went to New Orleans for the Jazz Festival and I got the honor ( a wonderful honor) of house sitting for them.  Gigi, is not from Paris, but she should be!!! She loves Paris and all things Parisian!!  In fact, she had just returned from a buying trip in Paris where she scoured the local flea markets and antique markets for goodies.  Her home here is just so lovely, so Gigi!  She thinks of everything, she even left me a box of Parisian Chocolates to enjoy with my wine..( she made a trip to get all my favs in wine and cheese!!).  She even had my favorite coffee for me and a yummy flavored creamer.  She had stacks of books and magazines for me to relax with.

  Gigi loves stuff, just like I love stuff...more is more is our motto!  She had little bits of her Paris trip in every room, so it was like a treasure hunt to go room to room and find what was new.

I had a wonderful weekend of relaxing, having breakfast poolside each morning... even the dogs or "boys" as Gigi calls them, enjoyed the mornings poolside...here is Bandit checking out the water..

On Sunday I stayed poolside most of the day and enjoyed the beautiful weather, even contemplated swimming, even in the cold water...but just basking in the sun was wonderful. An absolute blessing for me...no teenager calling "MOM!" or no one to think about...just me and the quite cool water and the warmth of the sun.  Sounds simple, but truly PRICELESS to me!  I called Gigi on Saturday morning right after I watched the sun come up on the pond behind her house and told her she was truly blessed to live in this home and have that view!!! She agreed, she does not take it for granted, she is blessed!!!  Well, I am off to paint on some things to use for a display in a children's shop...one of my new projects!  One of my favorite clients has purchased a children's shop and asked me to help do a makeover of the existing space....is that a dream or what!!! I am loving working on it, so fun since whimsical really does describe my favorite creating style!!!  This client is a dream to work with, she is just so kind and I love spending time with her!! She reminds me of Eva LaRue off of CSI Miami! She looks like she could be her sister!!!  She is beautiful inside and out....if she is reading this, I hope she knows how much I value her friendship and her trust in letting me participate in her new adventure.....she is a blessing in my life!!
