Spring just makes me want to break out the paints! I think it is all the beautiful colors, all the flowers blooming....especially since flowers are one of my most favorite things to paint. I just delivered the painting above this last week, a layered mix of collage and paint. It is so fun to experiment with all the lovely papers that are available now....I probably buy as much or more of the scrapbook papers as any avid scrapbooker. I cut it up, tear it up, work it into backgrounds...just makes me drool when I see new papers! I just recently had to buy more things to store my paper in....and that is hard, because I want to see it all, it inspires me. I wish someone would come up with a clear sleeve system that hangs and can revolve to hold hundreds of papers....then I could easily go thumb thru...you know kind like the rug displays that some stores have. Nope, not that one, oh yes, that one...and then I could create more with paper!!! If you want to see some interesting things done with paper, be sure and check out the Paper Cowgirl Art Retreat to see how other artist get creative with paper. I think there may even be a few spaces left in some of the classes. There are some great ones this year, and the group of creative women signing up looks to be just as awesome! Check it out here www.papercowgirl.blogspot.com, the classes are highlighted on the right hand side, and the interviews with the instructors are pretty interesting to read too! Well, I am off to paint some more...hope everyone is feeling as painterly as I am!!!
*sigh*...this is just GORGEOUS!!!!!!! and I guess most likely sold. 's beautiful. and yeah, I like that idea of a hanging paper holder...get to work on designing that would ya? LOL. I could use one. Well, yes, I was already in a "painterly" mood and I think you just cinched it for me. Thanks for the inspiration.
